I believe that in the beginning god created heaven and earth and Adam and Eve. I believe that they were not perfect because they ate the apple from the tree. Then he told Mary that she was pregnant with a son. It was a miracle because Mary and her husband believed god. I believe that Jesus came down to the earth and was crucified, died, and was buried to save our sins. Then he rose from the dead to show that he really was the son of God. After Jesus ascended into heaven the Holy Spirit came down to earth and is still with us today. I believe that being confirmed is a very big step in my faith. I believe this because when we take communion god is there with us and he takes our sins away. My favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13. This verse says “I can do anything through he who strengthens me.” This says a lot to me because I believe that with god by my side I can do anything. If I didn’t have faith in god it would be very hard for me to believe during bad times. The reason why I believe in all of this is my faith that was given to me by the Holy Spirit when I was Baptized.

Keith Urban has a CD that has a song on it called “God’s been good to me” and in that song he says a line that means a lot to me. The lyrics say: “Everything I have and everything I see is just another reminder that God’s been good to me.” This means a lot to me because I know this is true. God made everything around us and everything that makes us who we are today. God has created everything that is today, including all the bad things that go on in our society. He created the good things to show us that they exist but he allows the bad things to happen to show us that we can learn from our mistakes. I believe that he has given me everything that I will ever need in life and he will give me anything I will ever need in the afterlife also. He guards me when there is evil and sin around me and helps me get through the tough times. He helps me make the right decisions and keeps me from getting into to too much trouble.
My favorite bible verse is Proverbs 16:3, “ Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.” This means that through God all things are possible. I believe this because you must have God in your life to be able to live each day to it’s fullest. Without God, our life would be pointless and sinful and we would not be able to have our sins forgiven like we do with God in our hearts daily. Every one of us sins but with God our sins are forgiven and forgotten. Without God they are not. If God had not risen from the dead, he wouldn’t have been able to prove that he was who he said he was and we would not have had our sins forgiven. I believe all of this because of my faith and because of what I have been taught all through my life. I would like to thank my parents, who have helped this process, as well as the people of this church, my pastors, Mike, and most importantly God. All these people have had things that they did that made me a better person and made my faith in God so strong. I’m so lucky, because God has been good to me.
