St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church is a congregation of believers who worship together, follow the teachings of Christ, and extend this belief through our commitment to programs and services for the benefit of our membership as well as our community.

St. James believes strongly in involving every one of its members in its ongoing mission of service to our church and to the community.  Members of the congregation are given major responsibilities in various capacities such as:

• Assisting Ministers,

• Lay Readers,

• Ushers,

• Greeters, etc.

›› Mission Statement of St James Lutheran Church

Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of this church.   Therefore, as an Evangelical Lutheran Church, we are called to Live and Share the Good News of God's love for ALL people.

On April 26 and 27, Pastor Paul presented 4 workshops at the annual convention in Minneapolis MN.  He was asked to speak on 'An Urban Approach to Evangelism."  His preparation included creating a DVD of our church's ministry.  The DVD, done with the help of Eva Parisi is the first production of its kind introducing Saint James.  The Convention, at Calvary Lutheran, drew about 300 persons.
