Music has long been a great strength here at St. James. We have an abundance of talented people who are willing to dedicate their time and effort to make worship at St. James a richer more satisfying experience. However, we are always in need of people who are willing to raise their voices to the Lord in song and if you are willing and able, the Chancel Choir would love to have you join them. They try to make the practice sessions light and entertaining while at the same time learning the music to be sung for each Sunday's service.
Those willing and able to participate in any capacity are encouraged to contact the church office at 215.743.1828.
››Message from the new Minister of Music
I'm excited to announce the start of a new concert series at Saint James! We will have 7 concerts this year featuring a variety of fun and exciting music from around the world. The series will include everything from Jazz and Gospel to Barbershop Quartets - I will even have the privilege of introducing you to Carnegie Hall Pianist, Leonardo Le San, early next year!
The aim of the Concert Series is to supplement the music program at Saint James by raising awareness within our surrounding community. You can help the series succeed by spreading the word to those friends and neighbors who would enjoy hearing the excellent music these artists have to offer. However, that isn't the only purpose. All the musicians who will offer their gifts and talent do so for the Glory of God. I hope that the witness of our performers will make a positive impact in showing our neighborhood what we are all about at Saint James.
Regards,
Christopher M. Kraus, Minister of Music.
Join us in supporting our new concert series arranged by our Minister of Music, Christopher Kraus.
August 15th, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
We are privileged to have the
Four GosBells Quartet
and their church’s hand bell choir perform.
They are no ordinary Hand bell ringers! Come out and hear a variety of music arranged for Hand bells including some Jazz hymn arrangements, classical pieces, Carnival music and even video game music (remember Super Mario Brothers?).

We are currently seeking a new Choir Director but should be back on track soon. ion will be held at 10:30 am in the Social Hall. Don't be bashful.
The choir members have lots of fun and help each other get the notes and the rhythm right. Come give them a try. If you are willing and able to participate in any musical capacity we encourage you to contact the church office at 215.743.1828.

›› Special Music
During special times of the year, we may include special music that complements the season. From time to time, and for these special occasions, we may invite musicians who play the harp, the violin, trumpets. This is done to supplement our own musical program and make it extra special.
During the Christmas Season we have our traditional Candlelight Service with the Chancel Choir performing musical pieces. We also try to have some other groups from the Frankford Christian community come to our church for the Candlelight Service to play some of the music that is special to them during this season. This approach has been most effective here at St. James because it showcases the diversity of cultures within the Frankford area.
For the Easter season, we invite trumpeters to help us celebrate the risen Lord and to supplement our own music for the day.
These and other special occasions showcase special music and are an integral part of St. James history.
