Our Beliefs

Peace Lutheran Church is an evangelical church. We welcome all who seek the Peace of the Lord in their lives and to learn with us.  We affirm that "the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for everyone that believes."  We strive to reflect the Gospel of Jesus Christ in all that we say and do. Visitors and members have come from many faiths. As an evangelical church all those who believe in Christ and are baptized are invited to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.  Peace Lutheran welcomes those into membership who wish to grow and learn in the Lutheran Evangelical Faith.

Peace Lutheran Church liturgical services include group confession and statement of faith. We believe that the Bible is God's Word and is, therefore, the source of all we believe and teach. We believe God's Word shows us a way to live in the world, yet rely upon a proven path through God's guidance and to demonstrate good stewardship while extending a hand of God's Peace to others.  We also believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the promised Messiah, who came to earth in order to save humanity from the consequences of sin and death. As humans with imperfections, we may miss the mark (sin), God understands this and offers us hope through forgiveness and our choice of new actions.  This salvation and opportunity for Grace was accomplished through our Lord's life, death, and resurrection.  We believe in life after death with our Faith in Christ's promises and God's Love.

Peace Lutheran Church recognizes and celebrates the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and the Lord's Supper as God's Means of Grace. All those who believe and are baptized are invited to participate in the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
