Adult Ministries
Following are the small groups for spring 2001. Sign-up sheets are in the narthex.
ADULT FORUM: Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor. The topics for May are:
6th—Discussion of the Building Addition
13th—Meet the Director of Youth and Family Ministries
20th—Resolutions before our Upstate NY Synod Assembly
27th—Resolutions before our Upstate NY Synod Assembly
PRAYER MINISTRIES: Two separate prayer ministries: Prayer Chain is ongoing as concerns arise. Prayers are passed along the phone tree or communicated by e-mail. Pray First is a monthly prayer group that meets at 4:00 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. Speak with Zillah Harding at 652-9166.
THAT THE WORLD MAY KNOW: Led by Bob and Diane DuMond, this class continues on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. once a month in Pastor’s office. Ray VanderLaan, a teacher and historian, reveals the Bible’s intriguing historical context and its modern believers, illuminating life changing faith lessons that will ignite your faith, strengthen your convictions and inspire you to confront your world.
EXODUS: Tuesday morning Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor. Pastor Paul begins a new study on the book of Exodus.
FOR THE MEN: Early risers, join Steve Miller, Brian Genalo, Bob DuMond and other participants at Steve’s house every other Friday at 6:00 a.m. Topics are studies of various books of the Bible.
FOR THE WOMEN: Continue your faith journey as we complete the study book Becoming a Woman of Faith. Text includes scripture reading, discussion and how the Bible stories relate to our life and faith journey today. Begins April 25 and continues on Wednesdays, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. for six weeks.
